Reading The Telegraph's review of the new biography of film director Alfred Hitchcock, I was struck, anew, by the importance of cover design.

I've long had my head turned by a well-designed cover: in this age of Internet attention-spans, it can be just the hook to make me stop, look, and maybe buy.
