Is science fiction political? There's huge fuss going on over who wins its awards, with proponents of greater diversity trying to open up their shortlists, while opponents run slates of nominees and seek to guarantee the outcomes.
If readers more conversant with this struggle care to weigh in here, I, for one, will be grateful- and better enlightened.
