A most singular address

Are there many English homes that rate three blue plaques? Surely Lamb House, in Rye, Sussex, is one: Henry James lived there the last eighteen years of his life. E.F. Benson, author of the Mapp and Lucia series, moved there in 1918 and remained there until he died in 1940. Rumer Godden lived at the address from 1968 to 1973.

The photo is from a Guardian photo spread of homes of famous English writers.
