Today, in the year 79, a baker in the Roman town of Herculaneum put a loaf of bread in his oven to bake.

The loaf came out of the oven at the hands of an archaeologist in 1930.

In 2013, The British Museum asked a chef to bake the loaf anew, from the original recipe. This video shows the results.
