The study of Tintin has become the life’s work of a small number of scholars, known as “Tintinologists”. More than a dozen monographs on Tintin have been published in English since 1980, and many more have been published in French.-The University of Lancaster has created the UK's first visiting professor of graphic fiction and comic art.
