The origins of the boxed set
Printed sometime in the late 16th century, this book from the National Library of Sweden, is what is called a sixfold dos-à-dos binding. Basically, it’s where six books are conjoined into a single publication, and can be read individually with the help of six perfectly placed metal clasps.
