What are the well-read castaways are leafing through these days?



The other day we posted links to an interesting article at Quartz. In a Big Data number-crunching exercise, somebody came up with a summary of the set texts colleges and universities in America prescribe for the studentry- as Will Strunk called them. "Customers," Margaret Spellings says.

Then somebody else asked, "What if you were on the proverbial desert island and could only take ten books? What would make a well-informed student of that exile?"
