His mother called him "Lancelot"

Oxford's Bodleian Library is celebrating the 300th birthday of the pioneering English landscape designer Capability Brown this year. Here's a good video highlighting his work and significance, and which also provided me an unexpected nostalgic frisson: a summer 1980 romance began with a picnic alongside the right end of the bridge at Blenheim, along the lake.
