From the twilight of the Age of Horses

Note: this photograph is of the 1903 Revised Edition, not the 1907 Revised Edition described below. It gives the best impression we have been able to obtain of our volume, which is otherwise identical.

Revised Edition. Published by the Government Printing Office, 1907. 608 pp. Hardcover, cloth boards, no dust jacket. Front and back covers carry debossed horizontal lines above and below two decorative elements, front and back. Vertical fade top right front cover, ½ inch x 2 inches. 


Wear and rubbing to cloth at corners and spine edges. Rubbed spots on cloth at top of spine, scattered worn spots on front and rear boards. Endpapers lightly foxed, internally very good, clean and unmarked. Numerous detailed illustrations in black and white and multi tone are all present. Contents (chapters by various authors): the examination of a sick horse, methods of administering medicines, diseases of the digestive organs, diseases of the urinary organs, diseases of the respiratory organs, diseases of the generative organs, diseases of the nervous system, diseases of the heart, blood vessels and lymphatics, diseases of the eye, lameness, diseases of the fetlock, ankle and foot, diseases of the skin, wounds and their treatment, general diseases, surra, osteoporosis or bighead, shoeing, index.
