McGee, Dr. Jerry Edward, Roberdell: A Village of Grace (Deacon Press, 1st ed., 1995). ISBN 978-1-61623-402-7. A fascinating account of a Richmond County, North Carolina mill town that flourished between 1882 and the 1950s. Hardcover, unclipped dust jacket, fine condition. Octavo, 107 pp. Private Message us at Facebook for details.

Incorporated in 1889, the town of Roberdel was a Richmond County, North Carolina mill village that peaked in the 1950s and has slowly declined since. Among its residents was Dr Jerry E. McGee, who grew up to become not only a nationally-respected college football referee, with 20 bowl games, and three national title games, to his credit in 36 years, but the 23-year president of Wingate University. This affectionate memoir of his youth and hometown is elegantly produced and a must-have for the shelves of Carolinas textile industry and Sandhills history fans.
