Finding new friends through the fog of time

This is a happy discovery: work by, and about, a 19th-century writer being rediscovered. Constance Fennimore Woolson's 176th birthday is tomorrow. This article leaves me wanting to read more of her work, and makes evident what a hair shirt friendship with Henry James could be.
